Stage 6 - Retailer Support

Pre-opening Operational Support

There is a level of detail required for a successful opening. Experience and industry knowledge are essential to ensure everything is considered and details are not overlooked. Six to twelve weeks prior to opening, Future Food issues a detailed 'Are You Ready to Open? Checklist as the first stage of this service, followed up with regular operator meetings leading up to opening day. We ensure that all operational criteria have been considered and addressed - such as equipment ordering, staff recruitment and training, license requirements, branded packaging supply, etc - so that the business is suitably prepared for the big day.

A successful opening is the culmination of intensive preparation, where every element must be considered and addressed in turn.

Operational Review Food Courts / Restaurants / Cafes / Fresh Food

Future Food undertakes customised operational reviews to deliver a range of food and beverage solutions for optimizing sales performance. We assess the current operations against best practice standards of an equivalent operator within its category. It may encompass elements such as branding, visual merchandising, promotions, counter presentation and layout, product display, menu structure, food hygiene practices, customer service, staff presentation and grooming, and product quality. The aim is to systematically identify performance gaps for each component and provide practical recommendations for implementation.

Observing the operation over multiple visits, Future Food's findings are compiled within a report, supported by photographic evidence and a prioritised actions checklist to increase revenue and the customer experience.

Retailer Training Workshop
Sales Maximizer/Trends/Visual Merchandising

The key for all food retailers is to offer a point of difference from their competitors and to be the preferred choice for the consumer. Future Food's informative workshops focus on topics that engage and yield positive results for the retailer and ultimately, the centre. Whether it be the latest developments in trends from around the globe, sales maximization techniques or visual merchandising, our customised one hour workshops are all about getting the best out of your business by highlighting opportunities to improve sales.

Menu Review

A menu review assists both the operator and centre management by assessing the current menu offer against:

The permitted use clause
  • Authenticity of the menu relation to the intended concept
  • Degree of menu specialisation relevant to the cuisine concept
  • Degree to which the concept addresses specific day-part opportunities

The purpose of this service is to verify that the product being sold correlates to the usage as well as highlighting sales maximization opportunities relevant to the concept.
